    • This is a lovely experiment to demonstrate centrifugal force. You need an empty pen tube with thread inside it. There is a heavy battery at the lower end and a light rubber ball on the top end. The battery is almost 10 times heavier than the ball. But as you spin the pen body the ball surprisingly lifts up the much heavier battery. This is possible because of the force of rotation.
    You can make a wonderful pump based on the same principle. You will need a 1-meter rubber tube and a bottle full of water. Dip one end of the tube deep in the bottle. Suck out water from the other end. Water will start flowing because of siphon. Now you hold the free end and spin it all around. Water will be lifted up by this centrifugal pump and will disperse all around like a sprinkler. Slowly the level of water in the bottle will go down and soon you’ll be able to drain out the whole bottle.
    You can see children get wet in this artificial rain. This is a great outdoor experiment for a very hot day.
