Product Features

Type G(orGH) gravel pumps are designed for continuously handling the most difficult high abrasive slurries which contain too big solids to be pumped by a common pump. They are suitable for delivering slurries in Mining, Explosive sludge in metal melting, Dredging in dredger and river course, and other fields. Type GH are high head pumps.

Construction                         

Construction of this pump is of single casing connected by means of clamp bands and wide wet-passage. The wet-parts are made of Ni_hard and high chromium abrasion-resistance alloys. The discharge direction of pump can be oriented in any direction of 360°. This type of pump possesses the advantages of easy installation and operation, good performance of NPSH and abrasion-resistance.

  • The 2.8 MGD IBM Lift Station Project for the City of Boulder was completed by FEI Engineers, Inc. in 2016. The Lift Station is located between the City’s 63rd Street Water Treatment Plant and 71st Street and South of the IBM Campus. It serves the campus of IBM, the City’s 63rd Street WTP, the Gunbarrel Technical Center, and residential homes. Utilizing a Design-Bid-Build Approach, the project included an alternatives analysis, design and bidding services, CDPHE approval (as well as site application and Basis of Design Report), and remote alarming and controls. The innovative lift station provides operators with an easy to operate system via a self-cleaning wet well, overflow protection, and security knowing the system can be controlled remotely. Addition project details include:

    - A retrofit – the old wet well was converted into a new self-cleaning wet well
    - The three existing 30 horsepower dry-pit centrifugal pumps were replaced with three new submersible screw centrifugal style
    pumps installed in an improved and expanded wet well. The new submersible pumps will have a firm peak hydraulic capacity of 2.8
    MGD.
    - Emergency Backup Pump – new Gorman Rupp diesel powered self-priming centrifugal non-clog pump
    - The existing dry pit pump gallery was converted to additional wet well volume and hydraulically connected to the existing wet well.
    This added wet well provides both additional working volume and emergency overflow storage
    - A dedicated sump was hydraulically connected and constructed adjacent to the new ogee spillway. This sump is used as a stilling
    well for the emergency backup pump
