Most people think that the walk is a single day event. Aaron Gurley, JDRF board member shares his experience in this field. He says, that the Walk isn’t a simple funny single day event – it’s 365 days walk for cure. JDRF team every day fundraises money for the research and the walk is one form of this activity. For every T1D person it’s very important to see all people who came to support them. Aaron tells that the walk isn’t about just walking in a funny T-shirt and eating hot-dogs – it’s about raising money. People should be aware about this. In those days, people commonly called the disease “juvenile diabetes” because it was frequently diagnosed in, and strongly associated with, young children. Dredging sand and restoring Pass-A-Grille Beach. This was the beginning of the beach refurbishment at Pass-A-Grill Beach , Florida. I took this video on August 6th, 2014. The crew was pumping sand onto the beach from barges that appeared to be about a mile out in the water through a large pipe system. They moved the sand around with bulldozers. About Pretty impressive work. ( We had seen that Treasure Island Beach about a year ago and it 2 minutes in you can see the sand/water being dumped on the beach through a sifting device. At about 8 mins you can see them taking the sifter off and getting ready to add more pipe and do another section.of beach. It is s an amazing amount of work and the results are really something to see.
