Introduction

All parts of type SP(R) pump immersed in liquid are lined with rubber. They are suited to transport the slurry which contains non-edge and abrasive particle .

The type with “L” is series of sump pump with extended shaft , which is suited for the working condition of deeper level. The guide bearing construction is added to the pump on the basis of the standard pump, so the pump is with both more steady operation and wider application range, but flushing water should be attached to the guide bearing.

  • This step was perhaps not all that necessary, but I do believe it helped with the task at hand. It at least made me feel a little better, and gave me something to do while waiting on the bulldozer.

    But it also taught me something else. I can actually pump water off of my property into the road ditch, over the incidental levee that the county built when they shoveled out that ditch. Basically, there is a levee now between my property and the road ditch which prevents water from my property draining into the ditch. This is clearly counter intuitive, but given that the ditch doesn’t drain properly, it’s actually to my benefit. It actually keeps water in the road ditch OFF my property.

    I think long term development of the farm will need to incorporate a couple small retention ponds at the front of the property to handle big rain influx. These will then be periodically pumped into the road ditch to manage fluid levels, or pumped out for irrigation. We’ll design them to appear natural, and plant with wet loving plants like cypress tree and lilies.

    Since its inception in 1989, the Centre for Rural Technology, Nepal, has focused on improving traditional water mills used for centuries by farming communities in the Himalayas. There are over 25,000 of these mills in Nepal that use the power of running water to grind grain into flour. Unfortunately, they can no longer produce enough energy to meet local demand, resulting in a rise in the number of diesel-powered mills. The water mills are also extremely hard work to operate and millers often work 12 hours a day in order to make a living. Since 2003, CRT/Nepal has intensified work to upgrade the water mills making them more efficient and capable of providing other services such as electricity generation and paddy hulling. To date, over 2,400 water mills have been upgraded increasing the grinding capacity by more than 100% cutting down the waiting time for women users, significantly increasing millers income and stemming the rise in diesel mills. It is estimated that each improved mill can offset diesel, equivalent to 2.4 tonnes/year CO2.
