You’re the reason for our success. Every dollar we put toward research comes from donations. So when you support JDRF with your time, talent, voice and, yes, your money, you enable us to advance even more research. There are many ways to join the JDRF family, but for 45 years there has been only one reason—because we are the organization that will turn Type One into Type None. Take Action – Don’t be indifferent! Here is a full list of video credits http://broadcaster.beazil.net/public/credits/youtube/videos/194905 Health Care & Social Assistance sector comprises firms providing health care and social assistance for individuals. The sector includes both health care and social assistance because it is sometimes difficult to distinguish between the boundaries of these two activities. The industries in this sector are arranged on a continuum starting with providing medical care exclusively, continuing with those providing health care and social assistance and finally finishing with only social assistance. The services provided in this sector are delivered by trained health practitioners and social workers with requisite experience. Living with T1D is a constant balancing act. People with T1D must regularly monitor their blood-sugar level, inject or continually infuse insulin through a pump, and carefully balance their insulin doses with eating and daily activities throughout the day and night. T1D is a serious and stressful disease to manage. Treatment options are improving all the time, and people with T1D are able to lead normal, productive and inspiring lives. JDRF is driving research to improve the technology people with T1D use to monitor blood-sugar levels and deliver the proper doses of insulin, as well as research that will ultimately deliver a cure. JDRF’s research mission is to discover, develop and deliver advances that cure, better treat and prevent type 1 diabetes (T1D). As the global leader in the fight against T1D JDRF’s research programs are comprehensive — addressing the hopes and dreams of every person with T1D for the best quality of life and a cure for this disease.

The town, settled c.1638, was named for John Hampden, the English Puritan. A residential and manufacturing suburb of New Haven, of which it was once a part, Hamden makes machinery, electrical and computer products, metal goods, wire and cable, building materials, fabricated metals, and rolled steel. The town’s industrial development dates back to 1798, when Eli Whitney set up an arms factory using techniques of mass production. A plaque marks the site. Hamden also has many early mill sites, Colonial and Civil War–era houses, and a restored opera house. Quinnipiac College is in the town. Sean Busby, a professional backcountry snowboarder has been living with T1D for nine years. T1D affects millions of people. The challenges they come through are extreme. Just as extreme as snowboard expeditions. Sean takes to the world’s most remote mountains, from the Antarctica to the Arctic Circle and everywhere in between. Since Sean was diagnosed in 2004 he is doing all he can to help others, especially children managing this disease. Sean asks for everyone’s help. Special diabetes program spends a big sum of money for critically important federal research that’s improving the lives of diabetes. Sean invites everyone to join him at urging congress at Washington to renew this program.
